Delivered by Remploy, this free impartial and confidential service provides six months’ work based support to help people with mental health to stay in work.

Support includes developing work based coping strategies, identifying reasonable adjustments, education and guidance for managers and signposting to additional mental health support and resources.

So far, we have helped over 7,000 people who were at risk of losing their jobs because of their mental health conditions.

  1. Take control
    Remember, there is a solution for every problem. One example is managing your time better.
  2. Be positive
    Try and focus on the positives in your life. By simply changing your perspective, you may see your situation from a more positive point of view.
  3. Work smarter, not harder
    Having a good work-life balance is key. Therefore prioritise your work and focus on quality not quantity.
  4. Talk to people
    It’s true that a problem shared is a problem halved. A good support network of colleagues, friends and family can ease your work troubles and help you see things in a different way.
  5. Be more active
    Any physical activity will help you feel more healthy and cope with your problems more calmly.
  6. Have more ‘me’ time
    We work the longest hours in Europe – giving us less time to do those things we enjoy the most. Put aside some ‘me time’ away from work – even if it’s one or two evenings a week.
